Concept

The development process followed the ADDIE principles.

The project started by defining the
learning objectives and key success factors by the team and the client. The aim was to produce an industry standard training that will give the learner a holistic understanding of process validation.

Action mapping was used to define the learning objectives. Based on this the training outline was created.
Storyboard
The first version of the storyboard was written by the SME. The storyboard was the revised pedagogically together with the SME to make it more suitable for e-learning. The internal storyboard was then sent to the client for review and approval.
Look & Feel
Keywords
Informative, formal, engaging, easy to approach
Visual design
The visual concept was defined by following the client's brand guidelines. The aim was to make the training feel informative and formal yet still easy to approach. Both photos and graphic elements were used to reach the desired look and feel.

The sources of visual assets were versatile, including ready-made and custom photos and illustrations, as well as AI-generated photos and illustrations.

Narration
A female voice was chosen for the main narrator.
A mentor character was created to make the training easier to approach. All the narrations were created using ElevenLabs AI tool.
The design elements were created keeping the global audience in mind.
Development

The modules were built using Articulate Storyline 360 authoring tool.
This tool is great for creating custom elements and allows for the creation of many interactive tasks that enhance the retention of learning. Below are examples of interactive tasks, worked examples and animations used in the course.
Testing and implementation
Testing
Before final publication the modules were tested by different test users. Amendmends were then made according to their feedback.

Localization
After the master files were complete they were sent for translation and localization.

Publishing
The modules were published in SCORM and web link formats to be used without and LMS.
